We fly balloons above the hills around Sibiu, and we organise the balloon meet at Ocna Sibiului.
Who we are
Air Sensation operates hot air balloon flights around Sibiu and is also the organiser of the Air Sensation Festival — the balloon meet at Ocna Sibiului.
We fly from Ocna Sibiului and Porumbacu de Jos, at sunrise or in the evening, throughout the season, whenever the weather allows. Every flight has a licensed pilot and a ground crew that follows the balloon by car, from inflation to recovery at the landing site.
How we work
Safety is not traded against the calendar
If wind, visibility or precipitation do not allow the flight, we do not take off. We reschedule, however inconvenient that is for everyone.
We say things plainly
The date is confirmed two or three days beforehand, not at booking. A firm promise any earlier would not be worth much, and we would rather be trustworthy than convenient.
Small groups
The basket takes few passengers, and the pilot has time to explain what is happening. This is not a mass ride — it is a flight you take part in.

Since 2021 we have organised the balloon meet at Ocna Sibiului: crews from Romania and abroad, morning and evening flights, and Sky Party — the evening show where tethered balloons glow in time with the music.
