The programme depends on the weather

Flights and inflations during the festival can take place only in weather conditions that allow safe operation. The published programme is indicative and may be shortened, moved or cancelled without notice, at the decision of the organiser and the pilots.

An inflated balloon, even when tethered, needs calm air. In strong wind, the evening show is shortened or postponed.

Safety rules on the field

• Balloons run on propane. Smoking and any open flame are forbidden near the aircraft, the cylinders and the equipment.
• Keep the distance indicated by the crews from balloons being inflated or packed away. Envelopes and lines can move suddenly.
• Instructions from crews and organisers must be followed exactly, at all times.
• Children must remain supervised by an adult for the whole time they are on the field.
• Entering the operating area is allowed only with the crew’s agreement.

Attending as a visitor

Attending the festival as a spectator requires no booking. Passenger flights are arranged separately, directly with the operator, and are subject to the flight terms.

Rules for each edition

Each edition has its own set of rules, published together with the programme, which supplement these. In case of conflict, the rules of the edition prevail.
