A flight quite unlike anything else
A hot air balloon has no direction of its own: it goes where the wind takes it, and the pilot only chooses the altitude at which to catch the right current. Every flight follows a different path, and the launch field is decided on the morning itself.

How a flight works
Choosing the field
We pick the launch site based on the wind direction that day.
Inflation and preparation
The crew lays out and inflates the balloon, then runs the pre-flight checks.
The flight
45 to 60 minutes at around 1000 metres, carried by the wind.
Landing
The pilot picks a safe field and brings the balloon gently down.
Recovery
The ground crew packs the aircraft and drives you back to the start.
Where we fly
We launch from the Ocna Sibiului area or from Porumbacu de Jos, depending on the wind direction that day. Both open up views across the hills around Sibiu and towards the Făgăraș Mountains.
How the date is set
The flight is confirmed 2–3 days in advance, depending on the weather forecast. If conditions do not allow it on your chosen day, we reschedule by mutual agreement — nothing is lost.
